Camino Frances September 2014
Hello Everyone,

Like many others I have been "on" the forum for a few months, but have not posted anything to date. I have been amazed at the information and support that takes place here :) It has been a HUGE help in my preparation for my first camino.

I will be leaving Boston, MA USA in September and plan to walk the Camino Frances with the rough goal of getting to Santiago de Compestella around my 55th birthday on 10/30/2014. I can't think of a better way to reflect on my life to date and all of the blessings and good fortune I've had.

I hope to see some of you on the walk and share some stories and some laughs.

Michael

Hi Michael .... I know, this forum has helped me so much. Without it I don't really know where I'd be! I'm planning to start walking around 7th September but will be VERY slow so no doubt you will catch me up and probably pass me! Maybe see you on the way. If not, have a great trip. Cheers, Trish.

Hey Trish - Not sure I will catch you, but maybe you'll make such an impression, I'll hear all about your escapades as a trail you :)

But if I do catch up let's make sure to have a salutation. Where are you coming from?

Hi again Michael ... Yes perhaps I will make an impression! I only hope it's not being renowned for throwing hissy fits and sobbing on the side of the road!! I'm hoping to finish early November so intend to take about 8 weeks or thereabouts (hopefully in time for my 53rd!). I'm coming from Christchurch, New Zealand. It's the start of a very long and hopefully life changing journey for me. Cheers, Trish.

It does seem like it will be a life changing event doesn't it? How cool is that!! All the best.

I plan to walk from about Sept 25 to end of October. Perhaps I will see you on the Way. Buen Camino!
Hola Happy Dog,
Sounds great. Best of luck with all the preparations.

Hi there ... turning 53 on 11/11. Not far off! I'm starting to walk 7 September ... either Roncesvalles or Pamplona, not decided yet ... depending on timing. I'm one of the lucky ones who's got 3 months off work so can really take my time. Hopefully you'll catch me up (very probable!) and we'll have a toast to the year of 1961!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Oh lucky you .... :) I'm very envious! Where are you starting from?

Jim,
I start from SJPdP on 6 June and I'm spending my first night at Orisson. I'll be the 68 year old bald guy with a yellow Da Kine pack holding up the line as I limp to cross the finish line in Finisterre again this year.
