For our USA members, you will know Rick Steves. He is Mr. "Travel to Europe" and does travel related radio and TV programs. He writes books, and also has now started a podcast (radio program that you download to your computer or listen to on your mp3 player).

I found two interesting programs about Spain today, and wanted to let you know about them.

#1
In this podcast-only special interview with Julio Astor of the Spanish Tourism office in Chicago, Rick delves deep into the contemporary scene in Spain, exploring its internal cultural issues and its role in the European Union.

#2
Carlos Galvin, a travel specialist from Madrid, joins Rick to describe today's scene in his homeland, and to take listener calls about visiting Spain. Also, we'll learn how the Spanish tradition of taking a midday nap - the siesta - has been helping Spaniards beat stress for centuries...and how its days may be numbered in modern, urban culture. Julio Astor of the Spanish Tourism Board joins Rick to explain the role of "the siesta."
