Portuguese Camino?

I’m in the process of planing my Camino. I want to do the Portuguese Way. This is my first Camino with other 7 friend pilgrims. Should I go for the Central Portuguese Way or the Variante Espiritual? Suggestions?

You can do both. The Variante Espiritual is just a detour for a couple of days. I think that the Stingy Nomads lay out the options well.
