Hi all, I'll be walking the primitivo the first 2 weeks of October. Does anyone know what the weather is usually like at this time of year? Any chance of some sunshine? :)

Hi, Richard,

Welcome to the forum! I walked the Primitivo at the end of October one year and had a little rain, some cold, lots of sun, and just generally pleasant weather. There's no telling what you'll get this year, but I don't think you have to worry about winter-like conditions and with good luck the rain will hold off as well. You'll be going earlier than I did, but one thing that shocked me was how late daylight came. I remember walking out of towns at 8 am and it was pretty dark!

I'll be on the primitivo on the same period, Richard. Starting from Oviedo on september 30th.

Thanks to those of you who have wished me Buen Camino pm! My plan was Salvador/Prim, but 1) cold feet because of a knee (old injury) and 2) would have to rush with no possibilty of short/rest...
