Pyrenees May 9th weather?

Camino Frances start May 8 (2016)
I've already booked a bed in Orisson for May 9th. Is the mountain usually clear of snow by then?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The weather is unpredictable, you need to check at the Pilgrim Office in SJPP before you go. If you walk to Orisson and next day find the mountain route is closed due to bad weather, the Orisson staff will organise transport to get you onto the Valcarlos route.

Last year I walked the Route Napoleon on the 13th May in good weather, but within a week the weather turned colder and it snowed in the Pyrenees.

Buen Camino,

Mike

Ask again on about May 6! Forecasts are very unreliable farther than three days out. Snow has usually disappeared by May, but anything can happen. :)

Hi, can't predict the weather so far in advance.
You have to wait until almost the day you will leave.
Hope you have nice weather when you walk over the Pyrenees. Buen Camino, Peter.

My husband walked the Pyrennes CF route in snow and snowing May 25-26 2013. 16631927780_5fabf7a89e_z.jpg

Argh. Praying it's good when I get there but ok with other route. Whatever happens.
