Camino Del Norte (2018)
Hello everyone! I am arriving in San Sebastion on this May 11th to begin my walk of the North route. Reading about all of your experiences has me brimming with inspiration. I will be traveling with 2 friends for part of the way starting out. I have 3 weeks of walking time and I know that I want to walk the final 100km to Santiago. I think my friends and I will walk the first week together from San Sebastian to Bilbao?...i think we can make it that far in 7 days. But I would love to hear what part i should walk for the other week? I have never done anything like this before. My mom passed this year and my year has been very transformative internally. I am walking to feel my way into what is next in my life and to open to the newly developed me. I am very encouraged by the idea that you all use quite a bit, that "the Camino will provide". Shelly

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

You should try primitivo. It's great. Buen Camino

Last 100kms of Primitivo from Lugo; Norte from Baamonde etc. If you have 2 weeks then the Primitivo from Oviedo might be possible but it might be tight on time depending on how far you can walk in a day. It is possible to start from Grado, Salas, Tino or even Grandas de Salime by taking the bus from Oviedo.
Buses and trains go from the Norte to Oviedo and the Oviedo - Grandas bus is afternoons 6 days a week.

A guide to speaking Spanish on the Camino - enrich your pilgrim experience.
I agree for an inspirational experience cut down to Oviedo and try the Primitvo. Norte is incredible but pilgrims make up a small proportion of the people transiting through the northern cities. On the Primitvo this reverses. Oviedo is a great city.

I would suggest you keep walking from Bilbao, as the next few days from there have lovely scenery, with some wonderful beaches to walk along. If you then take a bus to Baarmonde, you can walk the last 100k to Santiago.
