Firstly the introduction, I was trained as an archaeologist and worked for nearly 20 years as a museum curator but in 2002 I managed to change job to being a development officer and am also a life coach. My wife, Ellen and I have been walking the Camino Frances in bits for the last three years and we are now booked to fly to Madrid at the end of March 2010 to walk on from Pontferrada to finish our Camino. We have met some great people and had marvelous experiences along the way.
Secondly the favour I would like to ask: I have maintained my interest in archaeology etc and have now been asked to give a lecture to a conference in June on the roadside memorials along the Camino. When we were walking along I did not take many photos of the memorials being either preoccupied with my sore feet or Romanesque churches, mostly the first !
While there are many photos of memorials on websites, they are often small and low detail. I also dont really want to use other people's photos without letting them know.
So I would be very grateful if anyone out there with an interest in these memorials could either email a good big copy of them to me at pathollandchange@gmail.com or just tell me where they are on the web. I will acknowledge all used in the talk and if I can do so, will post the powerpoint after the lecture.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to our yearly ration of the Camino
