Sorry about the formal thread title, just wanted to make it show up with some sense/info in the calendar section ;-) I will arrive 3rd February in Sevilla and will start to walk the Via de la Plata 2/3 days later, hoping to reach Santiago. Very excited! Buen Camino, SY

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Good Luck, I did it in May this year and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
SY, you do mean 2016, right?o_O:)
Buen Camino...May you have a deeply wonderful journey!

I do indeed my sharp-eyed friend, thanks for spotting it (corrected now) and thanks for your good wishes. I hope we meet one day on the way, SY

Hi SY, wish you well and a wonderful Camino, Peter.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

I've been hoping to do a camino at that time for years, but sadly my sheep lamb then, so can't get away.

If you're lucky, the almond will be just starting to flower, which I used to think of as the first day of spring when I lived in the midi of France. And I'm told that spring moves north at roughly walking speed, so you may have 30-40 days of the "first day of spring". Very envious, buen camino.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

What a lovely image, always the first day of spring.

I ordered the German Guide to the VdlP and, thanks to a friend, will have an iPhone on loan with me with maps, GPS and apps loaded onto it, but realistically I think I will mostly rely on my "arrow radar" ;-) Very excited and can't wait, SY

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The are some interesting threads from early last year. Lots of water over the trail in places as I remember. I am not sure if that was more toward Spring or not.
I only had dust to contend with in mid-August.
There were actually very long stretches of 2"to 5" dust in places. Over my shoes and no way around it.
I measured it with my poles so the depth is not an exaggeration.

February sounds like a great time for the VdlP. You should have most of the route to yourself.
Buen Camino!

Thanks @grayland seems the south of Spain has experienced lately a dry spell, so hopefully the arroyos will not be too bad. Buen Camino in January, SY
