Hello!

I have biologic drug for my migraine (Emgality) that comes in prefilled pen. Does anybody know where can I safely dispose of used pen? It is quite big, not just a small needle. Can I buy a sharps container there (big enough to put the pen in)?

Thanks

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

I used to need a migraine-pen.
Normally I secured the needle with band-aid and brought it back to my local pharmacy.
That should be not a problem at all on the Caminos. You find pharmacies in every town.
As far as I was informed by my neurologist you only can use it once per month, so you have to deal it only once, maybe twice on your Camino.

Hope you don't need it at all!

I have a biologic prescription for the chronic idiopathic urticaria I developed after my 2016 Camino (I blame the ibuprofen). Unfortunately, mine comes in the form of a couple of injections in the doctor's office. It's not something I can take with me. Fortunately, the shots are now far enough apart that I should be able to time them before and after any Camino I am likely to do in the near future so they won't interfere.

But that doesn't help you. I expect that Roland49 is steering you well and a pharmacy should be able to help you safely dispose of the pen (or, at the very least, point you to a good location for doing so).
