SCQ airport into “town”

Hi-
I’m going to catch my flight in 2 hours - I’m flying into SCQ from Madrid.
I’m not sure physically how far the airport is from SDC /the city/cathedral (?)
I’m gonna guess NOT walking distance… who ever walked from an airport to get somewhere right?!?
So I’ll need to take a taxi into the City?
Approximately the cost?
Are Taxis “regulated “- ie.. I won’t get driven around town to increase the fare?
Thanks! Buen Camino 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Yes the Camino goes right past the airport on your last day on the Camino. If it is raining I would take the bus though. I have taken a cab a few times in Santiago. Some roads are one way or blocked to car traffic so it might seem like you are being driven around, but in reality it is just the way traffic is routed.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-

And you won't be charged a higher price, because the taxi price to/from the airport is regulated.

The bus is also a reasonable option, from memory 1€, (cash only)around 35 minutes and pretty much just outside the door of the airport. Number 6A.
Depends a little on exactly where you want to go of course, and if you are happy to wait for the next bus. It can be very busy, be prepared to stand if you're the last in line!

Taxi = 23€.
Great feedback…I’ll do a taxi to my hotel -to drop off my backpack… Would my hotel have a “little local street map?” - do they still give those out “these days?”- or my friend Google Maps and Wise maps

Some do have tourist maps, it depends on the hotel. I always use Google Maps.

The tourist office will give you a street map, but you might need a street map to find it! :) It's at Rúa do Vilar, 63. Not far from the cathedral. Why pay €23 when you need only spend €1?

I went from Santiago to the airport a couple of weeks ago and it cost me 24 euros. I'm guessing the journey in reverse would be the same.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Well, you could walk into the city since the Camino goes right past the airport.😊
There is a fixed rate between the airport and the city. I don't remember the exact amount but it's around 20€. There is also a bus that costs around one Euro.
Trecile- need at SDC goodies ? The
