Thanks to everyone for taking the time to share ideas on the Camino. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading everthing the past few months and k ow that I will have a great journey. I depart Washington DC on 24 September and have flights, buses and trains set all the way to St. Jean to begin my pilgrimage on 27 September. I have until 30 October so I plan to take it one step at a time.

I have checked a variety of backpacks in size from 28 to 70 liters and finally settled on a 50 liter bag. It has been fun packing and unpacking in an attempt to limit what i take and devide what items are essential. I am now just under 10 kilos and being retired military, this seems like a feather weight compared to many previous treks Thanks again for everyone's thoughts and I am looking forward to a buen camino and meeting many new friends along the way.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
