I am planning to walk the camino podiensis sept 3 . Currently thinking to land in Paris and train to Le Puy . Is getting from CDG arrivals to the Le Puy train easy ? Have not been to CDG for over 20years . Usually travel Canberra Australia to Amsterdam

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I was told there was a train direct fromCDG. Maybe there is a connection ?

i used Rome to rio but did not realise part Dieu was Lyon. Thanks for your help.

Here is another thing I am worrying about. I want to visit friends in Holland possibly before and definitely after the Camino . I am most familiar with Schiphol, should I book a return fare for Paris or Amsterdam and maybe make use of the tgv where possible or whatever . In The past I have gone by eurorail to London then on to Ireland by plane but maybe it would make sense to go to Ireland from Bayonne at end of camino. . Worrry worry

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
The TGV and Thalys service operates fine between France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Strikes notwithstanding (especially in France) the service is prompt, clean, professional, and reasonably priced. Flying is faster, but trains are sometimes better, especially for intermediate distances of several hundred km.

Given your itinerary, you may need to make a connection somewhere, but use Rome2Rio to get a basic idea of the routing. Then head for the individual train sites, e.g. SNCF, etc. to make reservations.

Hope this helps.

@Aishlyn , hi from across the ditch

In April 2016 I landed at CDG and had pre-booked TGV to Lyon.
My arrival at CDG was about 10h. I think all the world landed at the same time as the scrummage through immigration was interesting".

My travel agent had allowed a 2 hour gap. As I wandered around I realised I could have purchased my ticket to Lyon on arrival.

I had decided to spend two nights at Lyon so I could do a walk about there for a day.

Early Monday afternoon caught a TER train direct to Le Puy. I understand most trains finish at Saint-Etienne and a transfer is necessary. The TER has large windows: this was a bonus for a rubber neck, especilly after Saint-Etienne through the gorge of the upper reach of the Loire on the approach to Le Puy
