Hello all. 47 year old male from California here.

So glad I found this forum! It's been a great source of information and figured it's time I introduce myself.

A little history. I've had the Camino bug for 20+ years, and plan on doing SJPP to Santiago in 5 years when I retire. In the meantime I have walked a few pieces as day hikes while visiting family in Spain.

I'll be in Spain for a wedding in early March, and booked my plane ticket to arrive early giving me enough time to do Sarria - Santiago. Right now I plan on starting in Sarria on Feb 22nd. Not my ideal time of year, but hope it will be a fun adventure!

I would be interested in hearing accommodation suggestions. I am hoping to book private rooms every night because I am a really light sleeper. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Joat,

Welcome to the Forum! The Gronze guide on line is a good place to begin your search for accommodation west from Sarria. Listed in Spanish by location regular tourist housing is printed in black ink and pilgrim albergues in brown. Booking.com links are also provided. Here is the relevant Gronze section.

Happy planning and Buen camino!
