Hi all,

Finally after a years of planning my wife Clare and I are planning to do our first 2 weeks of the Camino. We arrive in Barcelona for a week of Spanish Lessons then its the train to Pamplona on Friday 26th sept 2009. We may have to stay the night here then get bus to Roncesvalle then a taxi to SJPP on Sat 27th.

Would anyone like to share a Taxi and should I book accomodation at SJPP before we go. Are there any Refugios in SJPP.

Any help welcome thanks. 8)

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I'll actually be staying the night in SJPP on Sept 27th as well. I'll be coming from the French side, but I'm more than certain to see you on The Way, if not that night.

L'Espirit du Chemin, one of the refugios, is closed for the season as of that night! And Refuge Orisson is booked up as well.

I was able to confirm a spot at Gite d'Etape via email with jeanmarie.mailharro@wanadoo.fr. It's listed as a 12-bed place, though I think I read something somewhere that it's 14. It's 10 Euros/person/night.

See you in 41 days!

Stuart - Caroline from Express Burricot takes pilgrims from Pamplona to St Jean at least twice a day. She usually collects them from the main bus station. The cost depends on how many she has in her vehicle. You could email her at: apcaroline@hotmail.com

Guys,

Thanks for the info. I put the wrong date on my blog Thomas. Its Sat 26th we hope to arrive in SJPP from Roncesvalle (by the taxi recommend by Sillydoll).
