Hi All,

Just checked the webcam and OCebreiro has been turned into a winter wonderland !

Beautiful to look at on camera .

However very difficult to trudge through, specially if you don't have the correct footwear or clothing .

To all on the Camino..... Be careful out there !

Buen Camino

Isn't weather a strange thing :? Last week I finished the Portugues, having walked in sunshine and heat, wearing shorts and sleeveless T-shirts. Admittedly the mornings were getting progressively more and more chilly but the afternoons were hot. Now I'm sitting at home, with the heating on, looking at the snow on Cabeza de Manzaneda and the hills of Leon.
For those people who have been walking the Frances for several weeks this change in temperature must be very off putting, and not very pleasant. I hope you all manage to cope with the change.
All the best to you all.

Back to umbrellas right now, but snow if the temperature drops enough.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
It rained early this morning in Sto Domingo...otherwise, it's been chilly at night and in the mid-teens (celsius) during the days...I keep seeing reports of snow on the news but I am not sure where as I can't understand any of it...I just see pictures...lots of pilgrims planning to walk to Santiago...lots are also planning to stop at Burgos.

The snows gone, it got washed away! Lots of rain and strong winds though the sun does break through occasionally. Drying clothes must be problematic at the moment. :!:

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Last December and January we had only the lightest snow in the Pyrenees and a bit more on the way to Burgos. Nothing after that. No complaints, mind you.
