Both booked!
You'd better book also Roncesvalles, Easter is always a very busy weekend and Roncesvalles will fill up early then. I will be working there as a hospitalera until Friday 15th, so I will be away when you arrive; nevertheless: buen Camino!

As for Orrisson: although the Route Napoleon opens April 1st everything depends on the weather in that period. So it could be possible that the Route Napoleon is closed due to heavy snowfall; go to the Pilgrims Office in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, the volunteers there know the actual situation and they will give you a good advice.
In case the Route Napoleon is closed, you will have to walk via the Valcarlos route which is in a totally different direction and not through Orrisson. Sometimes it is possible to walk up to Orrisson, sleep there and the owner of the auberge in Orrisson will take you by car to Valcarlos the following morning, but be prepared and ask about that possibility in case the RN is closed!

Thanks for the advice. I have already booked Roncesvalles as I thought the same, after that I'll wing it. Yes, hoping the Napoleon route will be open and a clear day, though I am open to whatever comes my way. Have booked 2 nights in St Jean to sort out last minute things. So looking forward to it all!

louise, I am aiming for 20th in Santiago and to be back there from Finisterre on the 26th, but who the hell knows! If I don’t bump into you in a bar, I hope you have an excellent and blister-free Camino.
