Actually, you can expect some "manifs" -probably not in Saint Jean Pied de Port, but more probably in provincial capitals as Bayonne (or in the Spanish side, Pamplona, Burgos and Leon). . Generally calm and festive, with music, flags, whistles, baloons, etc. But you never know. Be wise, folks...
