Future Camino: 07/05/2024 (Camino Frances)
Arriving in Burgos shortly and starting Camino tomorrow. Anyone who’s here let me know and I’ll say hi!

I’ll also post an update on beds & weather as I go.

PS - any food/albergue tips let me know 🙏 I was just going to try the two public ones and see if I can snag a bed as I’m coming in at 3pm

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Good luck
I stayed at Hostal Corrales (private rooms)
Liked it a lot
Away from the crowds yet 15 mins walk to Arco de Santa María and about the same to general area where most of Albergues are

By all means go to the parochial close to the cathedral

Albergue Santiago y Santa Catalina

. No reservation possible. I easily got a bed and it was half empty when i was s there 17 April. Great location. Nice simple. Everything a pilgrim needs

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-

Thanks Leila - I actually followed your comment and easily still got a bed and didn’t get in until 5pm. Good shout!

Authentic run by a local family.

Buen camino

Bonne chance

Good luck and Buen Camino

Is there a list of albergues that also have private rooms on the Camino Frances? Gracias.
Hi everyone -- After walking the Frances from SJpdP last October, I'm planning to revisit the bit between Logrono and Burgos this July, following different stages. It's the section where I had...
I started out from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on 1 May. It turned out to be an unforgetable day. Above 1,000 m or so it snowed, catching many people unprepared. Later that day "many" walkers were...
And another attempt looms, to buy a decent Poncho after trying and failing in the previous two likely towns. Anyone know where an Altos or similar might be bought in Leon, please? 😁
