Starting stage 1 of my first Camino on 20 April 2019

Time of past OR future Camino
(2019) Frances
I'm leaving home on April 19th and arrive in Madrid on the 20th, then a bus ride to SJPDP and The Adventure Begins!! So I have about 2 months to gather my supplies and off I go. I have 2 weeks for stage 1 and in late May/early June have 3 weeks for stage 2, and will make another trip for stage 3 if necessary. My "goal" is to relax and let it happen.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Best of wishes. If you have not done it walk you boots in, watch your feet. Go to the dentist and get your a tetanus shots.

Wish you a wonderful time and a Buen Camino , Peter .🙏

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Sounds great! Buen camino!

Thank you for the advice and well wishes, I am really excited about this journey. My pack arrived today and I'm going to start walking with it. I've been Mall Walking since we have so much snow & ice here is is dangerous to walk outside, I've already fallen once. But spring is coming and I can't wait to get outside to walk!

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
3 stages sounds good , it begs a more holistic experience rather than walking with your head down, thrashing out each day just to get to a bed.

Thanks, Renshaw, I'm sure you're right. Plus, this way I can enjoy a spring Camino, a summer Camino, and a fall Camino all in one year!! 7 weeks total should be perfect,, and I can relax and enjoy.

That's actually a pretty good idea @CDA Walker . I've already done a spring and summer camino with Autumn to come this year and winter in a couple of years time, it will have taken me over 6 years by the time I'm done.

Buen Camino,

Rob.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Best of luck! We are also starting on 20 April from SJDP so perhaps we will unwittingly meet ;). Buen Camino :)
