plan to walk the camino in september of 2018
Hi, I'm Holly and I am planning on walking the Camino in September of 2018. I want to start in St Jean -du-Pont. What City/town would I fly into?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
@hollyann where are coming from? Generally I find it easier and cheaper to fly into Madrid, and to take a bus or train to the start of the Camino. Land transport is cheaper in Spain than in France, and also Madrid is a bit less expensive than Paris.

Lots of information about getting to the Camino in this section of the forum; just look down at the threads to find the ones that are relevant to you: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/forums/traveling-to-from-the-camino.19/

Paris or Pamplona via Madrid. Choose one either for scenery or low fares! Bus and train from Madrid to SJPdP is probably less expensive than from Paris, but the trains from Paris are very comfortable, and may be easier connections.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Hi Hollyann,

Coming from the UK flights to Biarritz are fairly inexpensive and from there you can catch a bus to Bayonne then a local train on to SJPdP. If you're booking well in advance and have some time I managed to to get a first class ticket on the Eurostar and TGV from London St. Pancras to Bayonne for just ÂŁ60.
