I am a professional writer (BBC and 3 novels published) and having bought my credenciale from the Fraternity of St James began my camino in St Jean in October 2009. It was without doubt one of the most important experiences of my life. Like anyone else who has walked the camino I met many people who affected me deeply. These conversations inspired my novel, The Path which anyone who has walked the camino or intends to do so may be interested in reading. The novel describes the intellectual, and emotional experiences and relationships of a group of international travelers, and illustrates how the walk has a profound affect on most who undertake it, not least in their own and very individual spiritual quest.
