Has anybody seen the movie The Way with Martin Sheen? I did the camino in May-June 2006 and in my old age (70! yikes!), I am dreaming of doing it again. This movie gave me an incentive to go in 2013. The experiences of the characters are very real for me and the locations brought back wonderful memories. I have some quibbles about it but they are minor, like for example, the main character, without any training, decided to do the camino in memory of his son who died at the beginning of his walk, and yet he was not shown suffering from blisters. Also, the characters seem to have a big wardrobe in their backpacks! Otherwise, it is a very good movie. For those who have not walked to Santiago de Compostela yet, this film will give them enough background info. Highly recommended. It is now on DVD and available in most libraries.
