Train Fare Toulouse to Bayonne

Yosemite Paul

New Member
Hi there,

We are new to the forum and working to get ready for our first walk this June/July. We (group of 4, 2 dads and 2 sons) are wanting to travel from Toulouse to Bayonne and wondering if it is cheaper to rent a car or take the train. Looks like the car will cost about $150 plus gas. I'm having trouble figuring out prices for train fares. Sorry it this is a repeat question and thanks for your patience.

Thanks,

Paul

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Hi Paul,
I did a quick look up on the SNCF website and found, depending on what time of day and how far out you plan, you can spend from about 35 euro and up to 65 euro per ticket. My husband and I did this route about 5 years ago to start our Camino. You failed to mention the ages of your children but I did check for ticket costs for 12-25 and found a slight discount, about 32 euro.

Buen Camino- Nicole

Thanks Nicole. Our boys are both 16. I'm not much of a world traveler, so we're just getting up to speed on things. I think we are leaning towards the car to give us a bit of flexibility, with a drop off in Bayonne and train to St. Jean. Just bought our plane fare today and getting very excited.

Thanks again!

Paul
