When on the Camino Frances, how do you book or calll for transport between towns, if you need it please.
Someone mentioned there was an app, but they couldnt remember what it was. Anyone know please?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

You can use a cellphone to call . You could also ask the (very busy) hospitalero/a if staying in an albergue, the concierge if in a hotel or reception if in a pension / hostal. You could book online via a multitude of sites, ibncluding localised ones which a quick google search will show.

Are you asking about backpack transport or to get a ride for yourself? As far as I know, there is not a people transport service between towns that you can simply tap into. In some cases there are public buses, in many cases there are taxis, and in cases where you are incapacitated, you might have to wait until a ride is arranged.

If you need transportation for yourself, most albergues did hang out the next taxi and/or busservice phonenumbers or websites at their counters. If possible, the hospitalero/a may call for you as in rural spain it is likely not common that you can talk to a business in english.

I did need transportation for medical reason from O'Cebreiro to Triacastela and used the website provided by the hospitaleros at the albergue municipal to book a ride.

And taxis would often attach their phone numbers to lamp posts and other objects between towns, just to tempt pilgrims, it seemed.
