What train are you using and also do they have a public alberque in Pamplona? You'll probably either have to take a train or bus to Pamplona, and then a bus to SJPDP. Traveling on a weekend is not going to be the easiest. I, too, had this question and have decided to take a train from Madrid to Pamplona, then I will be staying at the Corazon Puro, a private albergue who provides a ride to SJPDP the next day. For 46€, I will get a ride to SJPDP, a night in my very first albergue, dinner and breakfast the next morning.
