Turning dreams into reality

Kiwi Linda

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Frances (May 2022)

Like so many others, my earlier plans to walk the Camino were thwarted by Covid - but 2022 has arrived and everything is on track for me to take the first of many steps from SJPDP to Santiago on May the 25th. I'm nervous but at the same time very excited about what lies ahead and looking forward to meeting many other pilgrims along the way. Buen Camino

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Nervousness is part of the deal Linda. I’ve done two and due to do my third in June-July and I’m no less nervous than I was the first time. It’s warranted. It’s no small thing but on the up side remember and remind yourself that you’ll be on a well trodden, very well trodden path and with the most supportive and friendly set of people you could ever ask for. Also, the locals have years and years of experience in welcoming and assisting pilgrims from all walks. You couldn’t be in a better environment for a long, interesting and very often beautiful walk. The nerves is natural. It’ll drop off I’m sure within your first few days.
All the best.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Thanks so much for your words of encouragement Jimmy. And it's reassuring to know that nerves are part of the deal (even on the 3rd Camino) - I often find the greater the challenge, the more nervous one feels, but then at the other end there is a greater sense of personal achievement. And of course as you say it is the camaraderie that enhances the whole experience. Very much looking forward to all the challenges and rewards the Camino has to offer me.

We were going to be leaving on the same day then Sally and Gary - but I moved my trip forward yesterday by 4 days as the long weekend in France meant I wasn't able to use the TVG fast train down to Bayonne on the Saturday, and I dearly wanted to do that rather than fly down. But who knows they say the Camino is strange in that way - we may bump into each other, you never know. I hope so :)
