Was on a 14 day hike of El Camino last year until I got sick--internal bleeding landed me in the hospital for 4 days and cut short my trip since the doctors didn't want me racketing around Spain and Portugal after giving me 2 units of Spanish Red, and I don't mean the kind you drink. Trip last year started in Roncesvalles to terminate in Santiago de Compostela with 3 days in Lisbon before flying home. This year planning on starting with 3 days in Lisbon, taking the bus to Tui, and after Santiago de Compostela, a couple days visit in Asturias with a side trip to Altamira before heading back to Lisbon and the flight back to the US.
I'm a 54 year old female from Northern VA who can hike 15 miles a day and dance all night, planning on doing the trip in September. Of course since I decided to take a Spanish class I'm looking at the Portugal road.
