I'm in my mid 30s, and this is my first camino.
I'm nervous and I'd love a walking partner or a group!
If you are interested let me know :)

I arrived in SJPDP ALONE last year from USA and I'm 77 years old. I rarely walked alone for more than an hour. many days I had pilgrims who slowed their pace a bit and walk several days with me and many for a couple of hours. Nearly all who passed slowed to greet me and inquire if I was okay. I hope to repeat my journey in 2017. Enjoy your journey and be open to new friends as you walk.

Hey everybody,
I'm finally going to start my camino!
I'm in Madrid now and going to Sarria tomorrow (Jul 6).
Say hi if we see each other :) So excited!

Grace
Hi Grace, send a smoke signal when you are alone. :D:D:cool:
Wish you a wonderful journey and a Buen Camino, Peter.

Hey everybody, I did it!!!
This is a late reply, I made it to Santiago de compostela 5 days after Sarria, exactly on schedule - I didn't get lost in the woods;).

Yes it was not lonely (other than my first day, when I started walking from Sarria at 4:30pm... :oops:rookie mistake)

In fact I had a great time chatting with a peregrinno who taught me how to speak Italian - all the way from Palas de Rey to Arzua! woohoo fun!

And for many other days I kept bumping into familiar faces along the way. What a wonderful trip!

Well walked! and Congratulations.

Wonderful to see how the Camino grows pilgrims. Having the United Nations on Feet is a bonus!

Thank you for letting us know how you went.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
