Time of past OR future Camino
second half of June more or less 2024
Hello!! I am a retired Spanish gentleman living in Madrid. My name is Jose and I would like to do the Camino de Santiago again!!! But this time I would like to walk and improve my English Level. I am looking for a Native English walking partner who would correct my mistakes. I am thinking of doing part of the Camino Frances for one or two weeks in the second half of June, more or less in 2024. If you are interested drop me a line.
Hope to hear from you soon !!!
Have a great day
Jose !!!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Jose what a lovely idea! I would love to improve my Spanish! Unfortunately I’m walking Camino del Norte this year. Good luck ☘️

There will be many native English speakers on the Camino Frances in June. I think it is better to go on your own, and meet up with people without pre-arrangement. This will allow you to know them a bit, and get exposure to different accents, without any commitments (however informal) in advance.

It is important to have safe practices when sharing information or plans with strangers on the internet. It is so easy to meet people on the trail, without awkward expectations, that it is what I would recommend.

I'm sure you will find people to talk to in English, Jose. Good luck!

Good advice from C clearly. Although I have started my Caminos alone, I have met many peregrinos who spoke many languages, Castellano, English, French, Portuguese, etc. You can walk with people for a few days and get to know them in a safer environnement. Buen Camino.

I agree with @C clearly and @AlainC. What if you prearranged to walk with someone and found them really annoying? It could spoil your entire Camino.
Instead, engage with English speakers as you are walking. Tell them that you are practicing your English, and that you would appreciate it if they corrected your mistakes so that you can improve.
