Weather in April

I'm planning on starting the Camino Portugues from Lisbon to Santiago via the coastal route in the first week of April and would appreciate any information from pilgrims who have walked at this time of year regarding the weather. Is there a lot of rain in April/May? Looking forward to any advice.

I appear to be leaving Lisbon around April 3rd after a few days exploring.

Thanks for the info Gerard. Very helpful. Unfortunately I won't be arriving until 6th or 7th April. It would have been good to meet up with you as I am also from Brisbane. Maybe I'll catch up with you during the walk.
