Hi all. Sorry to not do a thorough search of threads, it been a rather busy couple of days and I’m ever so slightly jet-lagged (it’s after 2am in NZ 😊).

We did our last minute shopping in Barcelona today but the only place we could find advertising “Orange“ was a wee shop I just didn’t feel comfortable in.

We’re off to Leon tomorrow, could anyone please suggest somewhere to buy a short term, prepaid sim?

thanks in advance, best wishes

Google or just ask wherever you are staying for Orange or Vodafone or Movistar. They are the top cell phone providers. They have similar plans and are very reasonably priced. I use Vodafone for 2 reasons. They have plans that have fewer minutes for calling and large data packages. I use Whatsapp to call family back home and since I walk long caminos it is really easy to recharge for an additional 28 days on your phone.

I just picked up a prepaid SIM from the Vodaphone store in the centre of León - 10€ for 20gb of data. Easy process - in and out of the store in 10 minutes.

I’ve used the orange store on almost all my trips to Spain (and france). They are great! No problems.

Thanks all. We found the Orange store right around the corner from our hotel, five minutes before closing - and we didn’t have our passports with us, it hadn’t occurred to us that we’d need them. Hubby did a super quick run to our hotel to collect a passport , all done very quickly and we can’t recommend Orange in Leon highly enough.

Really appreciate everyone’s help and advice, many thanks

I found I couldn't make any reservation in SJPP in the coming days. They are fully booked. I can't find even a single bed. What should I do? Is there anybody has a same situation?
Roncesvalles or push to Burguete? I prefer to avoid the recommended stages to avoid the race for albergues. Do you suggest Burguete? Is Roncesvalles too busy?
