Convent San Anton
Best picture of this monument I have seen. Everybody takes this shot, but.... THIS is THE shot! Cool! The story of this monument would make an amazing movie. This medieval complex was famous all throughout Europe as one of the premier medieval medical institutions; the "Mayo Clinic" of its time (it actually pre-dates 15th Century). It was ran by monks, Order of St. Anthony. This order specialty was medicine; they were considered the best doctors and pharmacists of their time. On the XVII Century a number of pilgrims complained about the monks doing experiments on other pilgrims and the convent was closed down and abandoned.

Now try writing that as a fiction book...;)
Thank you, Olivares. I was interested in the story. Spectacular image as it appears on the Camino, as if from nowhere.
I gave up on gas stoves years ago as you cant carry the canisters on flights and their always seemed to be a compatibility issue when you try and buy them at your destination. I now use an alcohol stove and touch wood don't have problems in buying the fuel just about anywhere. Saying all that I have never bothered carrying any stove or cooking stuff on the Camino (apart from plate and kfs)as the ones I have done their has no real need. I am just dedicated to getting my pack to sub 5kg and enjoying the experience.
