New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Thank you for posting this. We are doing the same in September. I noticed there are no hiking poles. My husband uses them mostly for descents. How were the descents?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
We had a baggage service so our packs were just day gear and snacks, so after carrying them (folded up) all day the first day, we left them in the suitcase.

I think the only place where they might have been necessary/helpful was the descent down into Baiona on the last day. In my opinion on this stretch they were not necessary for us, but of course evaluate your own level of need/ fitness.

When we backpack at home, I never hit the trail without them if carrying any weight. I do have an old knee surgery to protect.

Thanks. We will be carrying all of our worldly goods and bad knees prevail. So poles will be taken.

Thank you for posting this. It brought me such joy. What a lovely way to capture the feeling of walking and walking and walking.

My walking partner made a movie like this of me walking from Porto to SdC in October! I didn’t know she was filming me so it was a really lovely gift after we returned to our distant homes. My mother also loved it and is showing it to everyone she meets :)

Hi everyone, Just looking for some advice whether you think it would be better to start in Vigo or Tui? We have previously walked Sarria to Santiago in 5 days so hoping to do something similar...
