Hello fellow Camino enthusiasts,

I'm Darren, a passionate pilgrim and professional actor with nearly 25 years of storytelling experience in theatre, film, and television. Like many of you, I've experienced the transformative power of the Camino de Santiago firsthand, walking all 500 miles in 35 days back in 2017, as well as performing the one-person play 'Underneath the Lintel' 26 times. This journey was not just a physical endeavour, but an emotional and spiritual revelation that reshaped my life.

Inspired by this profound experience, I embarked on a new quest to explore and share the sacred stories found in life's pilgrimages, both ancient and modern. This led to the creation of "the story pilgrim" during my master's in 2021. My aim? To connect and inspire through shared tales of adventure, discovery, and introspection.

I'm excited to share with you my latest endeavour: a podcast series where I take you along on various pilgrimages, wandering through famous cities and sought-after destinations. So far, I've published eight episodes, each one a unique blend of immersive storytelling and authentic travel experiences.

Whether you're preparing for your Camino journey, reminiscing about past adventures, or simply love engaging tales from the road, I believe these episodes will resonate with you. As a seasoned actor, I bring these stories to life, offering insights and reflections that go beyond the mere physicality of walking.

Join me on "The Story Pilgrim" podcast as we explore the world, one step, and one story at a time. I'd be honoured to have fellow Camino walkers and enthusiasts as part of this growing community of story lovers and travellers.

I look forward to walking with you, at least in spirit, through the podcast. And I'm always eager to hear from you – your thoughts, your stories, and your experiences. Let's keep the spirit of the Camino alive, together.

Buen Camino and happy listening!

Warm regards,

Darren

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I listened to, and enjoyed, your St Cuthbert's Way podcasts just after returning from the Camino Frances a few weeks ago. St Cuthbert's Way is not far from where I live so I might walk it in preparation for my next Camino.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Thanks Ian, Linda. You should definitely do St Cuthbert's Way. The scenery up there is stunning.

Happy to see you on the forum Darren. I was happy to meet you and enjoyed your one-person play several times in 2017, including the final performance on the Praza do Obradoiro. I also loved the community that grew around you and the play.
