Left Saint Jean this morning at 7am. Got to Roncesvalles just before 1:30. Weather was clear and beautiful!
I didn't pre book, and was able to get a bed. I did hear they were all full by 4pm though.
Very happy with my first day on the Camino!
Did you go the way of Napoleon?

My husband and I are scheduled to hike the Same route on May 1st. My question to you is which route did you take? I heard the Napoleon route was closed due to snow. Many thx

I took Nepoleon. It's open but the few days before I started there was heavy rain and visibility was nothing! I've met several people that went over the day before me and they say it was terrible!
