I flew to Fuertaventura this morning with Jane to heat my weary winter bones and had the great pleasure of flying just to the east of Santiago. There was a lot of snow on the mountains and I'm not sure but I think the one we saw was O'Cebriero. It was great to see it again even from that height. I hope to visit Santiago and travel east along the Camino on the return journey from Southern Spain and Portugal in the camper in June, maybe I will be lucky enough to meet up with some of you.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Al, you are less optimistic than usual here and less kind as usual also! Hope Patrick takes it as tongue in cheek as it is meant! SY

Dia dhuit Wayfarer, have you ever explained the origins of your "Go n-eiri an bothar leat" to non Irish speakers, and how apt it is for those setting out on the Camino ?

You are really no use at all are you Patrick?

Nor are you Al, being friends of Al's was pretty useless I stay away from the forum for 3 days and guess what caminoitis has struck.;) I booked a flight for Spain for perigrina b and me at end of May to walk from Ponferrada to SdC.

So Patrick who knows we might just see each other SdC on the 6/7th June.:)

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Yeh, it was a complete none starter wasn't it? Well it was all a bit of light hearted fun anyway. Those of us who joined were already lost causes I think. On a more serious note though I see that Ivar's work at offering a group forum facility under "Special Camino Topics" appears to not have received much activity. It is a bit sad when he puts effort in for little usage. Maybe it is about people realising things are there?

Ah the thoughts of being rebellious though Al and just like friends of Bill belonging to a dysfunctional group adds some sauce to the mix and it is wonderful to discover, its a little like Gin &T or Vino tinto …….cafe con lechi …...camino …………………………..;)

Seems to be a lot of people posting about stuff they lost on the Camino recently. I managed to leave a nice new-ish polo shirt somewhere drying and didn't notice for over a week. I hope someone...
Did you meet Bjørn Krohn? Died aged 48 in an albergue, I don't know where, tuesday 21th. I didn't know this until now.
Can anyone tell me if food is available there… anyone stayed recently? Cheers
