I am planning my first Camino for September 2015
Hi ,
And I am planing to walk my first Camino Frances SJPDP September this year 2015. Was hoping to be ably to walk all the way from SJPP to Santiago and Finisterre , but after a conversation with my Employers, turns out have to do it in two parts. 2 weeks beginning of September this year and 3 weeks spring or autumn next year. I am very grateful.
Have started to learn Spanish and to look for good walking shoes , light way back packs , sleeping bags, etc. any advise on this matter will be highly appreciated.
Thank you all,
Good luck and
Buen Camino
Silvia

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Thank you , I will ask lots of questions ...for the moment I am trying to organise my thoughts
I am planning to fly from London toBiarritz, take bus and train to SJPP , and then start walking .
Believe will be better of with walking shoes in September. Do I need waterproofs ?
Will go next week to try backpacks and see what is suitable for me. Do I need sleeping bag, or only liner ?
Thank you

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Welcome to the forums, Silvia! You'll find lots of excellent information in these forums. The 'Equipment' forum here is well worth a scan. Look at the number of replies listed for each topic to see which ones are most active -- those will likely contain good discussions to help you decide what gear might suit your particular needs best. Keep in mind, though, that everyone's needs and preferences are different so it's wise to listen and learn, but ultimately you should make your own decisions.

If you are looking for a more formal all-in-one guide, one of the active forum participants here, Sybille (@SYates), has written a nice equipment guidebook that is available on Amazon - check her signature for a link.

Good luck with your planning -- don't be shy about jumping into discussions or posting your own questions. :)
