If you start in SJPdP....maybe we will see you. We (my 4 friends) and I.....plus two other women that we have met on this forum are starting the same day.

Good to have plenty of time - when you get to Santiago - I bet you set off on another route! To Finisterra or Porto or....!

April 26-June 7
My first Camino our dates were April 14th through June 18. I had no idea how long it would take to get to SJPP, how many days I would want to take off for rest of sightseeing. How fast or slow we would be walking. We started on April 19th from SJPP. Took 3 days off after ten days on to see a friend in San Sebastian. Hung out in Burgos for three nights ( I love Burgos!) and in Leon for two. We arrived in Santiago on June 1 and spent a couple of nights at the Parador and then we rented a car and drove our weary selves to Finistere and then down through Portugal to Sevilla and Cadiz and Malaga. Then took a train to Toledo and then on back into Madrid and home. We had a blast.
If you finish early with plenty of time to spare - you will find a way to spend the extra time. You can take a train to anywhere and start another leg of a different route. Or find a beach and relax in the sun. Don't worry about it! You're going to have a wonderful time!

Thanks. I want to take some time to work on my photography skills and do some (or a lot) of writing, so I figured 6 weeks was a safe number
