Hello
I will be arriving in Porto on June 12. I would like to spend the night in Porto and train the next morning to Barcelos to start the CP on June 13.
Does anyone have information on:
1) Where I can stay in Porto (arriving around 8:00 pm)
2) What train station I go to and how to get a schedule. I have looked and it is a bit confusing.
Thank you so much for any recommendations.

The railroad station for Barcelos is Porto - Campanhã. For schedules and more in English see this link

Porto is a major city with a multitude of accommodation choices. However one simple family run place where I have stayed in the past is the Hotel Poveira opposite the station. Here is their web.

Bom caminho!

Thank you so much. Do you think I can get a train ticket that morning?

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi Not just a Granny from another Granny. I will be taking the coastal route from Porto planning to leave on 16 September. I will have completed the Lisbon to Porto section so I am shouting myself a few nights luxury prior to the last section. What is your timing?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi Margaret, thanks for your message; forgive my late reply. I start from Porto; arrive 6th and start walking on the 9th; plan to walk along the coastal route (I love the ocean ;) ) I plan to reach Santiago by 20th so that I can explore the city on 21st before flying back to UK on 22nd.
