Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Oh dear, I had expected to get the 0745 train from Bayonne tomorrow (Fri 5th) ... what's the problem? Why no train? Will there be enough buses? Will I make it to my first night accommodation if the bus takes over 4 hours? Goodness! Already a mountain to overcome and I don't have my boots on yet!! Hahahahaha!!! :p

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Please relax! 05/05 the link in the helpful post above by Marion shows that there is a bus from Bayonne to SJPdP at 07:45 which takes only 1 1/2 hours.

The link also shows that early afternoon the trains return to service.

Bon voyage and Buen camino!

I'm always relaxed ;D

Great news about the bus, thank you!

I've just boarded the plane from Stansted to Biarritz & just met another pilgrim! (I suspect from the clothing there may be another 2 or 3 of us on this flight too)

And so it begins!

Can't wait to get started tomorrow! Woohoo!

Thanks for all of the advice & support on this fabulous forum :)

That's great news, last year we had to use the bus replacement which turned out to be a nice journey though the valleys. But have heard that the train ride has better scenery.
We will be in Bayonne next Friday - can't wait to start our Camino.
Buen Camino!
