One day walk into Santiago

I have one day in santiago, been here for a day. I need help deciding where to walk for the day as it would be a shame to come to Santiago and not walk. Any suggestions which camino would pleasant to take a bus to and walk back into Santiago tomorrow.

Bus to Negreira and reverse the Fisterra route?

Me I’d just spend the day at the Mercado de Abastos and a few of the nearby bars

I liked the last day on the Portugues route better than the Frances. If you have all day you can start at Padron, which is a very nice town to walk through. For a shorter walk, you can start at O Milladoiro. (There are other ways in as well, which I’m sure others can suggest).

You could consider walking up the hill to the Cidade da Cultura de Galicia and explore the art museum and other cultural offerings.

I would do some of the walk on the Camino heading to Finisterre, I thought the first section after Santiago was so lovely.

I would make sure to do the tour of the roof of the Cathedral.

Walk the Route of Routes, a 12 km stroll around Santiago that crosses 5 Caminos and numerous historic sites. It was developed by Johnny Walker. And maybe you'll meet Tincatinker at some of the bars along the way.

When I had to eliminate most of my first planned walk due to illness, I was able to walk from Lavacolla to Santiago, giving me at least a taste of the Camino (Frances), with its stops, cellos, and other walkers.

True dat! Unfortunately he is heading to Italy with his Beloved soon, so the bars in Santiago will be "hurtin' for certain".

I know that at least one pilgrim walked the Camino with a cello strapped to his back, giving concerts in churches and making a movie of the whole experience. But I expect you meant sellos (stamps), which is pronounced differently than cellos in Spain.
