Hi there,
I have a few friends who are planning on walking the Camino Francés for the first time this spring and summer. I have walked 7 Caminos and offered to meet on a weekly basis as they prepare for their walk. It occurred to me that others might find the discussions helpful so if you are interested in joining us, email me at (member's email address has been removed, please contact other members via private message) and I will send you the meeting link. We will be meeting on Zoom at 7pm PST on Thursdays.
If you have already walked and are interested in joining us to share your experience, feel free to reach out too.

My plan is to go over the following topics plus any others that come up:

1. Physical Readiness - tips and accountability
2. Mental & emotional preparation—The Pilgrim Mindset
3. Equipment & packing
4. Language & culture
5. Accommodation
6. Travel & transport—Where to begin, how to get there, backpack transportation etc.

All the best,

Jo

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Jo,
I’m not sure if you know yet, but your email address has been deleted from the post. My husband and I will be doing our first Camino this summer. I’d love to join your weekly group. Is there a different way to reach you to get the info for joining. Thanks so much,
Jaye

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Hi all,
Thanks for the updates on my email! I am not a frequent poster to the forum and didn't see anything in the rules regarding emails, but appreciate the removal as protection!
If you have replied to this thread, I have sent you a message privately so that you can join us this evening and future meet-ups.
Looking forward to connecting and sharing as we prepare for our trips this year!
All the best,
Jo
