OK heres a question I dont know if its been asked before. Could any one the local Spanish Caminoist tell me what the average cost of a visit to a dentist would be, if the need arose. Say if someone was to need a filling or temporary filling. Not talking root canal or a full Orthodontic reconstruction. Just a bit of temporary repair if the need arose.
Cheers
Craig

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
In 2013 my daughter broke a section off a front tooth cap on biting into an extra crusty bocadillo. We were about two hours east of Sarria and on arrival were directed by the information office to a dental practice. We had to wait until the dentist had seen all his morning patients and were then ushered into the surgery, by now well into siesta time. Mu daughter spent about twenty minutes in the chair, with extremely courteous attention by both the dentist and the nurse who should have been eating their lunch. I was expecting a horrendous fee to be charged and was a absolutely amazed to discover the bill was just 40 euros. Such excellent service for minimal cost.

Maybe I am one of unlucky persons. I had a minor accident just before Leon and had an emergency room service and broke a bridge on the front. The ambulance ride and emergency room service was like 105 euro from the university hospital. It was an excellent service. However, I had a local dentist to repair my bridge. I did not quite understand what he said but the bill showed a root canal and something else . The total bill that includes 25% discount (for pilgrim? ) showed about 425 Euros in Leon .

Thanks for the replies.
cheers
