Take the Metro from the airport to Nuevos Ministerios and transfer from there to Line 6 -Grey - and get off at Mendes Alvarez. The bus station is directly above the Metro station. The people at the Metro station at the airport can give you a map and details.

If you are starting in St Jean it is much easier to fly into France rather than Spain. This usually involves connecting through Biarritz and taking the train from there to St. Jean.

If you haven't already made you reservations you might want to look into the possibility of flying into Biarritz instead of CDG. The extra cost vs the cost of taking the train from CDG might be about the same.
Biarritz is the closest airport. You can get on EasyJet from Gatwick or on Ryanair from Stansted.

I took the ALSA bus from Madrid to Logrono and found it be a very interesting and scenic trip. It takes about 4 hours and the cost is E21.31 one way. There are buses about every 2 hours and about 1/'2 go direct to the airport.

If you do decide to take the Metro it stops directly under the bus station. The first level up is for local buses the upper level is the long distance bus station.
If the bus leaves from the airport you may be OK if your flight is on time and you only have carryon luggage. If you miss the bus you will be out whatever the ticket cost you.
