Every time I walk at Easter I find pilgrims that started in St.Jean carrying a sheet with the albergues open that early in the year. Does anyone know if this is available online? I’m looking to plan some longer days for an upcoming trip but don’t know what albergues are open and when.
Thanks...
Walked from Lisbon to santiago last year. Had a busy social evening three days out from santiago and forgot to stamp my credential. This resulted in lots of questions and me having to get a friend in the line who could verify my route. Not the friendliest end but I suppose it was my oversight...
I came back to an empty house too and find it hard to settle back. My summer camino was really life changing this time.
I'm always planning short camino walks every time work allows me and that keeps me going. Also, I'm visiting camino friends at Christmas so that's a nice way to spend the...
Thanks for always replying SYates... But this webpage doesn't seem to work. There is no active link at the moment. Does anyone have any other site that lists open albergues. I remember from last autumn that pilgrims in Pamplona had been given a sheet listing open albergues.
Leon to Sarria has...
looking for a few tips guys please...
I arrive in Barajas and intend to get the bus to Leon. There's one from sur and moncloa. I think getting the renfe train from T4 to sur station is best but was wondering if anyone has other ideas. The bus from moncloa leaves 15 mins later so would give me a...
Back from five week camino. Almost impossible to focus on work. My home feels like a strangers house. Caminos are amazing things but they can certainly change things. I'm still processing if I'm missing the companionship and simplicity of life there or are genuinely unhappy with my life here.
I...
Thanks guys. I ended up staying in the meeting place, which was nice and clean. There were a few nice albergues around from what other pilgrims told me. A nice little stop in the meseta.
Thanks for your help.
hi guys, I'm on half term the first week of November. I'm really tight for time, as John muir would call would say , I'm one of the time poor.
I love walking the camino and am going to fly over if even for a few days, five to seven days I hope. I'm thinking walking from pontevedra to...
Hi guys, I've walked on and since in hornillos soon. I heard there's an albergue that has chinche problems.I don't know its name. Can anyone advise a clean albergue in hornillos, or name the one I've heard about. I'm 38k in today, so hornillos will be my stop point. Thanks for your help.
Rebecca, you're a star. Thanks so much. Local knowledge really helps. Eduardo helped my friend last summer when she became very ill with stomach upset. I wanted to meet him. Your advice is most appreciated. If the stops work I might see you, I'll aim for a stop around Moratinos.
Thanks.
Thanks Sabine, I'm only going to make it to Leon though I'm afraid. Work commitments etc.
I'm a little disappointed as my friends really recommended en el camino in boadilla but I think Eduardo doesn't open till may. I'm finding it hard to find out if certain albergues are open in March...
I'm trying not to be too organised, previous caminos have taught me to go with the flow but I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for albergues between carrion and Leon. I can make do with most places but I'm just trying to get an idea of places to stay so I have some idea of timing...
As Easter is earlier this year I'm wondering if I need to worry about albergues being open in late March. I plan on walking from Burgos to Astorga. Expecting all sorts of weather but do I need to consider the fact that some albergues don't open until April?
I'm also wondering if the credential...
Due to work commitments I've walked from Astorga to Santiago in the summer and Pamplona to Burgos in October last year. I'd love to walk from Burgos to Leon, through the meseta in late March of 2016. That's my next holiday from work. I was told by two pilgrims I met, that the meseta can still...
I walked from Leon to Santiago this summer and really loved it. Next summer I plan to complete sections I missed from St Jean to Leon. But I'm really keen to go do some more walking before then. We have ten days off last week of October.
I'm thinking of going from Burgos to Leon as I'd love...
