    Back from the Camino

It was great. The weather changed a lot - a couple of really hot days and, as you saw in those pictures, a few days of cloud and snow, but it was never awful. It was really just a question of taking a coat  The Primitivo was dramatically quieter than the Camino Frances, though. The...

    Back from the Camino

It's taken a little while to get round to posting here, but I walked the Camino Primitivo back in March. It was the most wonderful experience, and shortly I'll edit this post to include a fuller report. But for now, here are photographs of the trip. Enjoy...

Where can I get a sello in Oviedo?

Thank you - really helpful answers. I'll certainly report back on the state of the Camino Primitivo when I return; I'll probably be one of the earlier walkers of the year, so with luck I'll be able to provide information in time for people travelling this summer.

Will many facilities be open in April?

Thank you for these further replies. I plan to stay in pilgrim Alburgues, so I hope these won't fill up with people visiting their families. But perhaps I'll take a small tent just in case - this will let me be a lot more flexible with my days too.

Will many facilities be open in April?

Dear Tio, Thank you - that's really helpful. It looks like all the Albergues are open year-round, which is reassuring. Ian

Will many facilities be open in April?

Hello everybody, I'm planning to walk the Camino Primitivo over the Easter period in 2012, probably starting 1 or 2 April. As this is quite early in the year, and a long way before the peak of summer, am I likely to find many of the accommodation and food places closed? Do they specifically...
