1st camino Irun to Bilbao

so 3rd time lucky, flights are re booked
will arrive in irun Monday the 26th will start walkin the 27th, how many days to walk to Bilbao? i would consider myself fit for my age.

@Larky1888 and Buen Camino - how many days to Bilbao? I think we took 9 days. It depends on whether you intend to say the first night in Passajes San Juan or go straight to San Sebastien, and whether you will only stay in albergues or are prepared to use commercial accommodation which gives a bit more choice and the possibility of shorter days. Its a pretty strenuous route.

I definitely recommend the "alpista" route from Irun.

Hey Larky, I have done Camino del Norte twice and pretty much followed the Eroski Consumer app itinerary- which is similar to their guide on the web: https://caminodesantiago.consumer.es/category/los-caminos-de-santiago/camino-del-norte

The first time I walked CDN was 11 months after a full hip replacement. At that time I had serious doubts about being able to complete it, but I did- and may I point out that I was much older than you are now So, being 45 and in good shape my recommendation is take it all in and enjoy the journey!! You can do it!
