I'm looking forward to starting my First Camino in April . I will land in Madrid airport at 10 AM 18 April and I would like to take a train to Leon.
Do I need to book a ticket in advance?
How long in advance is it possible to book?
On which website or App you recommend?

Looking at trains for this coming Thursday https://venta.renfe.com/vol/search.do?c=_w38J I would suggest pre-booking is advisable.

https://www.renfe.com/es/en is the website I use.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

My wife and I flew into Madrid in April last year and did not reserve and had no issues buying a train ticket to Leon on a Thursday morning. I’m sure some days are busier than others and you might want to check if any festivals are happening in Leon. Buen Camino!

Thanks for the good advice
