Albergue at Alcantara

Does anyone know if the Albergue at the reservoir at Alcantara is open? (about 35 km after Caceres, 10 before Canaveral).

It wasn't one of the ones listed for closure. I know the adjacent pension Lindamar has closed, so there would seem to be enough demand to keep it going.

Thanks, Laurie

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Since I have found the answer to this question, I thought I'd post it. The albergue opened March 1 and is open every day. This is really crucial on the Vdlp because of the distance between Casar de Caceres and Canaveral, at least for someone like me!

Buen camino, Laurie

Thank you for all your information on the forum, Laurie! I asked my self the same question, since someone said here that it might be closed. I saw that they are open from March to Octobre, and hoped that the saying of "closed" was because someone had been there before the first of March.

Thank you Laurie, for continuing to research a route that you're not even walking! We appreciate all your efforts!!

Cheers, Allison
