Does anyone know if this albergue closed? I tried to go on their webpage which has been de-activated. Looks like a lovely place.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

It is a fantastic place. I also noticed that their website is down. Hopefully, it's just a website problem.
They have a Facebook page. Maybe you can send them a message.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

I've stayed there twice, it's a wonderful place. I can't say if it's closed at the moment, but as it's now winter I would imagine it's closed until April maybe.
I last stayed there in October 2019.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Yes, I loved this place too. I like it that the restaurant seemed to be equally full of the locals; not just a place for the pilgrims staying in the albergue part.

Nice place and the dinner was really good. We arrived on a hot day but the night was quite chilly so the wooden roof structure was cracking all night as it contracted. We were on the upper level so ground floor might be quieter.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Yeah, I was on upper floor too, and I remember those roof supports crunching and cracking as the outside air cooled down a lot. Mind you, it didn't stop me sleeping like a log! Ear plugs worked for me against the snoring, farting and cracking roof beams. Mind you, I suppose I might have been guilty of contributing to two of the three potentially disturbing nocturnal sounds...........

I have stayed at La Finca twice, and both times I stayed on the lower floor, to avoid the need to navigate the steep stairs to reach the facilities at night. As I do not walk in the hot days of summer, I did not experience the creaky roof, but got a great sleep in a rare inexpensive private place. I hope that La Finca will continue to be available to the many pilgrims who appreciate it.
